IMPORTANCE OF FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION

To begin with, what is freedom of expression?  It is the right that we have all people to express an opinion on any theme, for this, people must express ourselves with objectivity, truth and respect.

Freedom of expression has been a very controversial topic over the years, this especially in the different means of communication. This is because despite the fact that freedom of expression is a right that we all possess, most people are silenced and even threatened for trying to reveal information that affects the government's reputation.

Journalists are often the most affected by this, generally to prevent them from reporting the information to people, the government and even criminals often resort to bribe them and if they do not accept the bribe, they will proceed to threaten them and their families, there are even several cases in which journalists are killed for ignoring the threats.

Freedom of expression is a right that currently puts us at risk if the opinion or information we have were to affect people with high power, both in government and criminals. There are groups who struggle to gain full access to freedom of expression for a wide range of reasons including poverty, discrimination and cultural pressures.

In conclusion, freedom of expression is an existing right, but we people must continue fighting so that there is no risk for those who apply it and we can have more freedom of expression.

¿Qué aprendiste?	La importancia de tener  libertad de expresión y que este mismo es un derecho por el que hay que seguir luchando.
